TradOnline, your agency for specialised translations

Do you have a specific field of business? Do you need to translate material, but are afraid that a translator will not be able to deal with the content in question? No need to panic! At TradOnline, we have numerous translators who specialise in a wide range of business fields. As well as being familiar with your vocabulary, they will never hesitate to ask us if they are unsure about any aspects of your document. It is important to thoroughly understand what one translates in order to produce a high-quality result.

Specialised translation deals with reference texts, which use specialised language, which are aimed at a rather limited audience, with a practical rather than aesthetic purpose. This difference has led to conflicts between translators and academics but, in reality, it is due to the fact that texts are translated using the aforementioned specialised language and that this language, and consequently the texts, tend to be classified according to the subject field. In the professional world, these classifications are deeply rooted, where people talk about technical, legal and medical translators, etc.

How does TradOnline choose its translators?

We have been working for more than seven years with the majority of our translators and we trust that they will deliver the best quality translations possible in the quickest time. However, given that we are growing so rapidly, at times we need to take on new translators; this is a process that we take seriously. The selection process for our translators is the same whatever their area of expertise. We closely read the CVs we are sent and choose only those with the most experience in their area. After this initial filter, we set a translation test to prove their competency and it is in this way that we ensure we work only with the best translators to satisfy the exact needs of our diverse client base.
